Suitable for those wishing to improve their balance

Standing and seated exercise to improve balance, strength and posture. With the aim of making everyday activities such as walking housework and gardening easier and preventing falls. This class will work on all the key elements needed for better balance and ease of movement.

Healthy Bones Pilates with Emma

Suitable for all levels

Using Pilates principles and exercises to encourage improving bone density, posture, mobility, strength and balance. Our bone density starts to decline after the age of 35, which puts us at higher risk of fracturing bones, osteopenia and osteoporosis, particularly in women after the menopause. This class aims to help maintain healthy bones into later life.

This is a structured yet relaxed class for mixed ability individuals looking to improve their core strength and flexibility.  Moves take place standing and in the chair.

Pilates – Mat Based, absolute beginners with Katie

Improve your posture, balance and wellbeing.  Maintain a peaceful mind and feel in tune with your body.  Learn to engage your core muscles and use the correct breathing techniques to enhance their effectiveness.  Use Pilates moves to stabilise and strengthen your pelvic, core and abdominal muscles and increase posture, flexibility and mobility, as well as begin to build your muscular strength and maintain bone health.  This is a structured yet relaxed class for absolute beginners or those looking for a very gentle Pilates class with a range of adaptions and modifications available where required.

Well Balanced Classes with Emma

Suitable for people referred by a GP or Health Professional to the WellBalanced Programme.

As we get older, muscles naturally start to lose strength. Everyday tasks such as rising from a chair or walking outside alone, can become more of a challenge.  Strength and balance classes, such as the Wellbalanced programme can help you to keep strong and steady and help prevent a fall. Wellbalanced offers low cost exercise courses, at the right level for anyone who wants to feel more steady and confident on their feet.
