About the Falls Management Exercise (FaME) Programme

The 24-week FaME course is designed to improve strength, balance, and confidence, helping older adults reduce their risk of falling. Each one-hour class is led by a specialist AHS Wellbeing instructor and takes place in a local community venue.

In addition to group sessions, you’ll be given simple exercises to practice at home, helping you build consistency and strength between classes.

Is this suitable for me?
If you’re an older adult experiencing any difficulties with walking, balance, or if you’ve had a fall before, this programme could be perfect for you. Your instructor will carry out a short assessment to make sure it’s right for your needs, and exercises can be adapted based on your individual health or mobility needs.
